VTI Selects Antycip Simulation And Mersive For Upgrade Of Driving Simulator

Antycip Simulation to supply and integrate the Mersive autocalibration warping and blending system for VTI’s simulator

Gothenburg, April 21, 2009 — Antycip Simulation Ltd (Antycip Simulation), a subsidiary of ST Electronics (Training & Simulation Systems) Pte Ltd, today announced that it has been awarded a contract by VTI, Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, to upgrade their existing driving simulator projection system.

VTI is an independent and internationally prominent research institute in the Swedish transport sector. With about 190 employees it is the largest research organisation for transport environment in Sweden.

VTI selected the Mersive Sol Server technology for the upgrade of one of its existing driving simulators. The Mersive Sol Server technology delivers sub-pixel accuracy, zero external latency and true auto-calibration features for a Continuous Quality™ display.   It allows for quick integration with VTI’s OpenSceneGraph (OSG) based applications, used for both driving and train simulation.

We are very pleased to have selected Antycip Simulation and Mersive for this upgrade. During the joint demonstration, we were amazed by the power of Mersive’s Sol Server and its ease of use. We were able to integrate Mersive into our application in less then four hours.

Björn Blissing,
Graphics Developer, VTI

VTI is a leading Institute for driving simulation and we are very proud to provide the Mersive solution and our services to them. Mersive provides an outstanding solution for simulation and virtual reality users.
