ST Engineering Applies To ACRA For
Striking Off Of TranSys Pte Ltd

Singapore, 13 April 2012 — Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) today announced that TranSys Pte Ltd (TranSys), a wholly owned subsidiary of ST Engineering’s electronics arm, Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) has applied to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority in Singapore to strike off its name from the Register of Companies pursuant to Section 344 of the Companies Act, Cap.50.

Transys’ rail electronics business has been consolidated into ST Electronics' Large Scale Systems Group.

This is part of ST Electronics’ business review to streamline operations and optimise resources for the development and deployment of rail related solutions and services.

The striking off of TranSys is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year.
